Installation

  1. Determine where you want to hang your lamp, and use a pencil to mark the six screw locations.  It may be helpful to use a level to ensure the fixture is vertical.

  2. We include anchors for installation into drywall, plaster or panelling.  If you are installing into a different material, please source your own, appropriate mounting hardware.  If you are using our anchors, use a 3/16" drill bit to punch six pilot holes.

  3. Slip a wall anchor into each hole.  You may have to gently tap the anchor to get it to sit flush with the wall.

  4. Now, affix the lamp to the wall by screwing the brass screws into the drywall anchors.

  5. Once firmly affixed to the wall, now attach your lampshade by sandwiching the Euro fitter between the two collar rings.*

  6. Insert the bulb. We recommend a small globe-bulb called a G16.5. If using incandescent bulbs, please keep it to 60 watts or less to avoid overheating the lampshade.

* If you are using our knife-pleated shade, you can find those installation instructions here.

Care

Natural brass will darken and patina with age.  I think this is beautiful - naturally patinated brass is impossible to replicate.  If ever you'd like to remove the patina I recommend using Brasso or Barkeeper's Friend.

For any finish other than natural brass, please wipe with a soft, dry cloth.  Avoid any harsh cleaning chemicals as they may tarnish the finish.
