Use the clutch-swivel to attach the upper and lower portions of the lamp. You will do this by loosening the thumb-screw and positioning the brass pipes within the disk divots.

Position the lampshade as desired and tighten the thumbscrew to lock the lamp in place.

Insert the bulb. Use an LED bulb to keep the fixture cool to the touch.

Plug it in and enjoy!
Care
Natural brass will darken and patina with age. I think this is beautiful - naturally patinated brass is impossible to replicate. If ever you'd like to remove the patina I recommend using Brasso or Barkeeper's Friend.
